Colony losses monitoring is a core project within Coloss network (www.coloss.org). COLOSS (Prevention of honeybee COlony LOSSes) is an international, non-profit association headquartered in Bern, Switzerland that is focused on improving the well-being of bees at a global level.
The monitoring group does every year record the honeybee losses in more than 30 countries, via local coordinators. The recording is mainly done via online questionnaire or paper questioners, depending on local conditions. An array of question is given to the beekeepers to record the course of the losses.
